The Chicago Bears were in the midst of having a dream season in 2018, until a double doink kick against the Philadelphia Eagles in the playoffs ended their season.
The team had high hopes for 2019 to keep the good times rolling, but the team now finds themselves sitting 3rd in the NFC North with a 3-3 record and riding a 2-game losing streak.
With the NFL trade deadline less than a week away, FS1 radio host Colin Cowherd is suggesting that the Chicago Bears trade for New Orleans Saints QB Teddy Bridgewater.
The Saints have won five-straight games since Bridgewater stepped in at quarterback, including a win against the Bears last week. The former first-round pick has taken advantage of his opportunity, throwing for 1,370 yards, nine touchdowns and two interceptions this season.
Now that Brees is back in the mix for New Orleans, Cowherd believes the front office should trade Bridgewater while his value is high and the Bears should be the first to be calling them to replace Mitch Trubisky.
The liklihood of the Saints trading him are slim as they might hold onto himn just in case Brees reinjures his thumb.

But, Bridgewater is set to hit the open market this off-season, and they risks losing him to another franchise and not getting anything for him.
