Despite the Dallas Cowboys clinching the NFC East and losing to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 17, Dak Prescott is still struggling offensively since returning from a calf injury.
Colin Cowherd evaluated the Dallas Cowboys QB and had an interesting comparison to him.
On “The Herd,” Cowherd asked if Prescott is just Kirk Cousins with “more fans and fewer haters.” He then compared Prescott’s stats over the last four seasons against below.500 teams and above.500 teams, as well as stacking his performances against NFC East and non-NFC East competition.
“I’ll give quarterbacks passes for a year, but I have four years of data of what Dak is,” Cowherd said. “He’s very much Kirk Cousins. I just think we like him more than Kirk Cousins.”
“He has a Kirk Cousins-like presence to him.”
Prescott has thrown for 4,154 yards (259.6 ypg) to lead Dallas, completing 68.4% of his passes and recording 32 touchdown passes and 10 interceptions.

Through 15 games this season, Cousins has thrown for 3,971 yards, 30 touchdowns and seven interceptions while completing 66.4% of his passes. Cousins was forced to miss the game against the Packers this past Sunday after he tested positive for COVID-19 and landed on the Vikings’ COVID list.
As a result, the Minnesota Vikings were eliminated from NFC Playoff contention after a 37-10 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
