Colin Cowherd, a longtime critic of quarterback Baker Mayfield, actually offered him a job before he began a career resurgence with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Cowherd, like Skip Bayless, has made his fair share of enemies as an outspoken critic with controversial opinions. Cowherd once called Baker Mayfield “undraftable” before he went first-overall to the Cleveland Browns in 2018.
Mayfield hasn’t stayed away from this feud, either. In 2019, he called Cowherd a “liar” and told the polarizing sports personality that he’s “full of it.”
During the latest edition of “The Herd with Colin Cowherd”, Cowherd revealed that he actually offered Baker Mayfield a job in sports media, believing that the Oklahoma product would flourish in the field:
“I can say this, full disclosure, I offered him a job a year ago on my little podcast company. I think he’s gonna be a great broadcaster if he wants to. He passed, he declined (my offer), totally get it.”
