FS1’s Colin Cowherd had a forgettable start for his 2023 NFL game picks.
Last week, Cowherd made his “Blazin’ Five” picks during an episode of his show on FS1. As noted by the popular @jasrifootball X (formerly known as “Twitter” account), Cowherd wound up getting all five game picks wrong.
With Cowherd going an imperfect 0-for-5, NFL fans had a field day mocking the veteran sports media personality’s predictions:

Cowherd picked the Pittsburgh Steelers to upset the San Francisco 49ers 24-23 at Acrisure Stadium. The Steelers were no match for the reigning NFC runner-ups, who crushed Kenny Pickett and company 30-7.
Cowherd also predicted a 24-23 final in favor of the Indianapolis Colts against the Jacksonville Jaguars. That game was close until the Jaguars put it away in the fourth quarter to escape with a 31-21 win.
In his defense, Cowherd was close in picking the New England Patriots to cover the spread against the Philadelphia Eagles, a four-point favorite. He called a 27-26 Eagles win, though the final score was 25-20 in their favor.
Cowherd had the Los Angeles Chargers besting the Miami Dolphins 28-23, but the ‘Phins pulled off the 36-34 upset. Cowherd’s biggest miss? A 27-24 New York Giants’ victory at home over the Dallas Cowboys…who crushed their longtime rivals at MetLife Stadium 40-0.
It’s on to Week 2 for Cowherd, who has nowhere to go but up with his game picks.
