On Tuesday, the Chicago Bears gave a huge boost to their offense before Tuesday’s trade deadline by acquiring Chase Claypool from the Pittsburgh Steelers. Not a single person saw this coming, which makes the trade so unique.
After the trade went down, Fox Sports radio show host Colin Cowherd began discussing what this means for the offense while mentioning Justin Fields, Darnell Mooney, Cole Kmet, Claypool, and Armstrong.
Only one problem here. There is no armstrong on the team.
Awful Announcing’s Brandon Contes would later state that Cowherd recognized his mistake and said he meant to say David Montgomery.
“By the way, as I’ve been talking about the Bears’ weapons, the running back is David Montgomery,” Cowherd said. “For the life of me, I have no idea why I called him Armstrong a couple times, I have no idea. I’m talking about a million names, a million trades, stuff happening.”
It was too little to late as he began to get roasted online.
