The internet loves to make something out of nothing, which apparently was the case with the whole “Damar Hamlin clone” theory.
The sketchy theory developed during the Buffalo Bills’ divisional round playoff game against the Cincinnati Bengals. While Hamlin was in the building for that game (a 27-10 victory for the Bengals), it seemed as though extreme efforts were being taken in order to cover the face of the Bills safety.
This led many to question whether Hamlin was really at the game, resulting in all sorts of rumors regarding the actual whereabouts of Damar.
Looking to thank all of his supporters and silence the cloning rumors at the same time, Hamlin released a video on Saturday proving that he is still alive, well, and more than willing to show his face to the public.
Everyone was happy to see Damar prove that he is “alive and well,” including his Buffalo Bills teammate, Cole Beasley.

The wide receiver has developed a reputation for some of his controversial views, but anyone who was expecting him to back the Damar Hamlin cloning theories were left disappointed when he responded to the video by saying, “There he is. Alive and well! Strong as ever.”
Hamlin explained in his video that he wanted to wait for the right time to speak to the public about his health scare and recovery, which is why we hadn’t heard him talk until now.
In the nearly-six-minute video, the 24-year-old former sixth-round pick thanked everyone who helped him in his recovery, from the medical personnel to the kids who sent him letters in the hospital.
Hamlin continues to recover after suffering cardiac arrest on the field during a week 17 Monday night game in Cincinnati.
