The New York Giants are releasing a veteran wide receiver from the team this week.
Veteran wide receiver Cole Beasley has asked the New York Giants for his release and they have granted his request.
Beasley signed with the Giants in July and returned to the practice squad after failing to make the cut. He spent time on injured reserve early in the season and has not been called up to play in a single game in 2023.
He saw time with the Bills and Buccaneers last season and has also played for the Cowboys.
The 34-year-old has retired before but it remains unclear if he is headed there again. One would think he is trying to get on another team before he ultimately makes that decision again.
Beasley was signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted rookie free agent out of SMU in 2012. After seven seasons, he joined the Buffalo Bills in 2019 and spent three seasons there before splitting time between Buffalo and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season.
