Cole Beasley simply doesn’t get it.
Just last week, Buffalo Bills wide receivers Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis, and defensive tackles Star Lotulelei and Vernon Butler had to miss miss the next five days of practice after being deemed close contacts of a team trainer who tested positive for COVID-19. None of the players had tested positive.
Isaiah McKenzie and Cole Beasley both disclosed last Thursday that they were fined for violating the NFL’s COVID-19 protocol. McKenzie tweeted out a picture of the letter he was sent by the NFL detailing multiple documented violations of the protocol. He said in a subsequent tweet that he was fined $14,650.
Beasley said he was disciplined for not wearing a mask for “literally 5 steps” from the entry door to the locker room after wearing it “that whole day.”
On Wednesday, he was spotted not wearing his mask again, but this time as he signed dozens of autographs from fans that could easily expose him to the virus.
“Cole Beasley has been signing autographs around the ring of the stadium field for at least a half hour, which is absolutely great. He’s doing it without a mask, despite his non-vax state. Not great. He truly must believe he’s divine intervention immune to this virus.”

“Yeah, no kidding. Which was the point of the tweet. He’s risking exposure, getting the virus, and then his absence hurts the Bills. Why do most of you calling me an asshole and a douchebag not understand what I was trying to convey? Instead, it turns my feed into a shitshow”
“I’m aware he’s tested every day. So far, he’s been fine. I’m not saying he’s giving it to anybody, I’m saying what if one of these fans gives it to him? And then he misses days, maybe weeks, who knows? That was the point. It’s like he can’t resist tempting fate.”
Beasley was the Bills’ second-leading receiver in 2020, recording 967 yards on 82 catches — both career highs.
