A veteran NFL wide receiver claims that Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback Dak Prescott is the best leader he’s played with…even more so than several other big-named QBs.
Responding to a tweet from the NFL Rookie Watch Twitter account, Beasley stated that Prescott “is by far the best leader” he played with, citing No. 4’s “huddle presence.”
Beasley’s tweet here is notable because he played with Tom Brady (albeit briefly, in Tampa Bay), Tony Romo in Dallas and Buffalo Bills’ star Josh Allen. Brady is the consensus choice for the greatest quarterback of all-time, so it’s certainly a compliment for Prescott in that Beasley actually views the Cowboys’ star as the better leader.
Beasley joined the Cowboys after going undrafted in 2012, and he played with the organization until 2018. The speedy slot receiver spent the next three years with the Bills before joining the Bucs for the next two seasons.
The SMU product announced his retirement in the midst of the 2022 season, only to un-retire and return to the Bills. In two games with Buffalo, Beasley hauled in a pair of receptions for 18 yards.
Beasley is still a free agent and hasn’t announced any plans on his future. For his career, the 34-year-old has 556 receptions for 5,744 yards and 34 touchdowns. His best season came in 2020, where Beasley had 82 receptions for 967 yards and four touchdowns.
