Ticket prices for Super Bowl 2022 reportedly averaged over $6,000, so naturally, at least one fan decided they would flush that down the toilet for a chance to run on the field.
A fan caused a brief delay in the game during the third quarter at SoFi Stadium, racing onto the field and finding plenty of room to run — even getting close to the Rams’ huddle — before he was finally taken down by security. Closer footage has since been obtained showing that Rams safety Taylor Rapp attempted to chase the guy and actually helped security by making the guy change directions right to them and get tackled.
The man, who was eventually led off the field by three security guards, appeared to be carrying some kind of banner, though it was not clear what it said. Whatever message he tried to convey failed miserably and he was hauled off to jail.
It was the second fan that had to be marched off the field by security on Sunday, as photographs captured another man being taken away earlier in the day.
