Jalen Hurts faced little pressure at FedEx Field on Sunday, but ass oon as he started to leave for the tunnel, that’s when he almost got sacked.
The railing gave way and dropped fans onto the ground as the team was making their way back to the locker room after their 20-16 win over Washington. As Hurts made his way towards the tunnel, he began high-fiving fans and that’s when the railing at the corner of FedEx Field gave way. The guard rail collapsed and brought a number of Eagles fans down with it.

The fan, Andrew Collins, was seen taking advantage of the close brush with the QB. He asked Hurts for his glove, and the quarterback obliged.

“To our knowledge, everyone involved was offered onsite medical evaluation and left the stadium of their own accord,” the Washington Football Team said in a statement. “We’re very glad no one appears to have been seriously injured. The safety of our fans and guests is of the utmost importance and we are looking into what occurred.”
Hurts went 17/26 for 214 yards and rushed for 44 yards. The Eagles later clinched a playoff berth when the Green Bay Packers defeated the Minnesota Vikings.
“I’m just happy everybody is safe from it. That’s crazy stuff right there,” Hurts said after the game. “That was a real dangerous situation. I’m just so happy everybody bounced back from it, it seemed like. Passionate Eagles fans. I love it.”
As for Washington, they were eliminated from playoff contention.
