Cameron Jordan has no love for Cleveland, having tweeted that he will never play for the Browns and that no amount of money can convince him to.
The New Orleans Saints defensive end was responding to a fan who asked whether he is “tryna come to Cleveland,” insisting there’s no payday capable of getting him to wear a Browns jersey.
The DE, who has spent his entire career with the Saints, did not give reasons for his answer so fans are left to speculate. The Browns have only gone to the playoffs twice since their return as an expansion team in 1999 and things aren’t quite looking up just yet; that might be why. It was also very cold when the Saints visited Cleveland this season.
Having grown up in Arizona, played his college football in California, and started as a pro in Louisiana, it’s not hard to see why he wouldn’t fancy cold weather.
Jordan is a seven-time pro bowler with obvious Super Bowl aspirations. He can’t be blamed for thinking Cleveland isn’t the place to win.
