The NFL has suspended a Cleveland Browns player for six games.
Browns wide receiver Michael Woods has been suspended for the final six games of the season for violating the NFL personal conduct policy.
It is not the biggest loss as Woods is on the non-football injury list and was not going to play anyway because he tore his Achilles tendon working out with Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson during the offseason.
NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported that the suspension stems from an “incident” that occurred last summer, resulting in a violation of the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
The Browns had hoped for Woods to have a larger role for the 2023 season before his injury.

Woods was a 2022 sixth-round pick out of the University of Oklahoma. He was inactive for the first five games of the 2022 season before making his NFL debut in a Week 6 loss to the New England Patriots.
The 23-year-old played in 10 games for the Browns last season, amassing 155 offensive and 85 special-teams snaps, finishing with five catches for 45 yards on 10 targets.
