The Cleveland Browns vs. Denver Broncos game will be contested at Empower Field at Mile High on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 6:15 PM MT. The Browns are at the bottom of the AFC North right now with a 3-8 record. Still, they managed to beat the top team in their division, the Pittsburgh Steelers, 24-19 in Week 12.
The Broncos, meanwhile, are sitting third in the AFC West with a 7-5 record. After a close 14-16 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, they’ve won two games in a row, including a 29-19 win over the Las Vegas Raiders last week.
Cleveland Browns vs. Denver Broncos: Head To Head Stats
The Browns and Broncos have faced off 32 times, including three playoff games, and let’s be honest — Denver’s pretty much had the upper hand. They’ve won 25 of those matchups, while Cleveland’s only picked up 7 victories. Lately, the Broncos have been the stronger team, like in 2023 when they beat the Browns 29-12. They also took the win 34-12 in 2012 and 27-6 back in 2009.
It’s not always a blowout, though. There have been some close calls, like back in 2015 when the Broncos won 26-23 in overtime. Cleveland’s had a few surprises, too, like in 2021 with a 17-14 win, and even in 2018, when they pulled off a 16-14 victory. One of the wildest games was in 1990 when the Browns edged out Denver 30-29.
Cleveland Browns vs. Denver Broncos: Probable Starting Lineup
For the Browns, Jameis Winston will start as quarterback, so expect him to sling the ball downfield. In the backfield, Nick Chubb is ready to bulldoze through defenses. The wideouts are Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore — both are fast, with Jeudy being a great route runner and Moore adding that deep threat. Tight end David Njoku will be there to help out, both catching passes and blocking.
Now, for the Broncos, Bo Nix will be the quarterback, and he’s got that dual-threat ability to keep things interesting. Javonte Williams is the workhorse running back, always ready to push through defenders. Courtland Sutton is a reliable wide receiver who can make the tough catches, while Devaughn Vele adds some speed and potential as a big-play guy. Adam Trautman will be their tight end, playing an important role in both the passing game and as an extra blocker.
