A former first-round draft pick seemingly wanted out from his team.
According to Brad Stainbrook of 247Sports, Browns cornerback Greg Newsome demanded a trade. There was speculation that third-year cornerback Greg Newsome II wanted out of Cleveland after being forced into the slot in 2022
However, those rumors would quickly be shot down after his new agent Drew Rosenhaus refuted that report after he and his client met with members of the Cleveland organization today.
According to the player himself, no such trade request is incoming.
This is the second time Newsome will be represented by Rosenhaus Sports. Prior to being drafted, Newsome signed on with CAA Sports before ultimately leaving to sign with Rosenhaus Sports after contract talks fell apart between the Browns and CAA.
