The Cleveland Browns and quarterback Deshaun Watson play their final preseason game against the Seahawks on Saturday. They will open the regular season with a home game against the Dallas Cowboys on September 8.
However, a new update concerning an injury with Watson could derail both games. It’s been reported that on Wednesday, he was held out of practice because of arm soreness.
This can turn out to be very bad for the Browns, as this isn’t the first time Watson has dealt with an arm injury. Just last year, he had four shoulder injuries that eventually limited him to just six games. During that time, he threw for 1,115 yards, seven touchdowns, and four interceptions.
Even in 2022, he severely struggled with injuries that allowed him to start in only six games.
Watson’s history with health now has many fans getting frustrated with him.

“This mother got his payday and just trying to get out of the league asap,” one commenter said.
“Stefanski might as well say Watson isn’t what we thought he was,” another said.
“He’s gonna fake injuries and collect a pay check on the bench. Jameis,” a third added.
Since signing his five-year $230 million contract with the Browns in 2022, Watson has yet to play a full season in Cleveland.
Deshaun Watson Continues To Catch Heat Over Expensive Contract
When an NFL team pays someone a big contract, the expectation is that the player comes in and performs at a high level.
However, in the case of the Browns and Watson, it’s been the opposite. Over two seasons, he’s played just 12 games despite making $46 million a year. Many Cleveland fans are fed up and over the contract already.
If Watson can’t get it together this season, the Browns will likely explore any options to move on from him.
