The Cleveland Browns have made a roster move this Tuesday that fans were rejoicing over, with wide receiver Kadarius Toney getting waived.
Toney has had an up-and-down career since being drafted as a first-round pick in 2021 and will be in search of a new home amid the wind-down to the playoffs.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Browns are cutting the wideout after signing him to their practice squad before the start of the season.

Kadarius Toney Becoming Quite The Journeyman
As suggested above, Kadarius Toney’s career has been rough to this point.
A first-round pick by the New York Giants in 2021, he was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022 and made a significant contribution to their Super Bowl win in 2023 as a punt returner on special teams. Still, his spell with the defending champs was marred by injury and inconsistent play.
He missed multiple games last term due to injury, including the AFC Championship Game and Super Bowl, though he was removed from the injury report. The Chiefs declined his fifth-year option at the end of the season, making him a free agent.
Clearly, his time with the Browns didn’t go so well as he’s set to search for a new team yet again.
