Former NFL linebacker Clark Haggans is reported to have passed away at the age of 46, with the cause of death yet to be disclosed.
Haggans, who won a Super Bowl with the Pittsburgh Steelers, suited up for 13 seasons, also playing for the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers. News of his death came the way of 93.7 The Fan’s Collin Dunlap, with players and fans now in mourning.
The former outside LB was selected by the Steelers in the fifth round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He established himself as a key member of the team’s defense and was key to the team winning the Super Bowl in 2005.
He left Pittsburgh in free agency in 2008, signing a one-year deal with the Cardinals before putting pen to paper on a three-year extension.
Haggans played out his last season in the NFL with the Niners, joining the team in 2021.
A former Colorado State star, Haggans appeared in Super Bowls for all three of the teams he played for.

He ended his career with a total of 520 tackles, 46.5 sacks, 24 passes defensed, and 16 forced fumbles in 172 games.
He leaves behind a son, Damon, and a daughter, Alianna.
