The Cincinnati Bengals have released a worrying update on superstar wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase in the wake of their big win over the Buffalo Bills.
The wideout had been dealing with some soreness in his back following Sunday’s victory and it appears it’s still an issue for him as, according to ESPN’s Ben Baby, Zac Taylor informed reporters that Chase was still sore as of Wednesday and would be limited in practice if he got to go at all.
Chase, who has picked up some solid yardage over his last few games, managed four catches for 41 yards against the Bills on the weekend. His WR teammate caught eight passes for 110 yards.
The soreness was caused by Chase falling on his back, according to what he told reporters thereafter. He was able to finish the game but was not sure as to whether he will be available when they play the Houston Texans in their upcoming fixture.
“I’m just going to support my teammates, man,” he said on Monday. “Let those guys do what they got to do. Only thing I can do is get healthy for the team and try my best.”
