The Cincinnati Bengals are playing their best football this year but have now just suffered a huge blow to the team.
The Cincinnati Bengals announced that they’ve placed DB Tycen Anderson on injured reserve with a left knee injury. The second-year safety suffered a torn left ACL during Cincinnati’s Week 8 win over San Francisco.
He’ll miss the rest of the 2023 season.
It is the second straight year that Anderson has landed on the list. This is a huge blow as Anderson was a key piece on the special teams unit.
The Bengals picked him in the fifth round (166th overall) in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Anderson had eight tackles and was on the field for 123 special teams snaps this season. He has played in all seven of the team’s games this season.

The Bengals may just be 4-3 on the year but they won three games in a row. They are in a top-heavy AFC North division that has every team above .500. One loss by either team could easily put them from second place to fourth, which is where the Bengals currently stand.
