It appears as though the Cincinnati Bengals and star quarterback Joe Burrow avoided the worst case scenario on Thursday night.
Burrow left Thursday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens with a wrist injury in the second quarter and did not return. Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, head coach Zac Taylor told reporters that Burrow sprained his wrist.
Burrow was seen clearly frustrated on the sideline after coming out of the game, unable to grip the football. He went 11-of-17 for 101 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions before having to be relieved by Jake Browning, who had just 68 passing yards in the 34-20 loss.
The loss, Cincinnati’s second in a row, drops them to 5-5 with seven games to go. The Ravens now sit at 8-3 and will retain the top spot in the AFC North for at least another week.
