Fans have plenty of football to look forward to this holiday season, with 10 games going on across the country on Christmas Eve.
That doesn’t necessarily mean that Stadiums will be packed, however. As we saw last week, the game between the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons had a weak crowd, despite tickets going for as low as $0.45, with most fans filling out by halftime.
Photos of the empty stadium went viral online.
With the Panthers scheduled to play the Green Bay Packers today, it shouldn’t come as a surprise if the turnout is similar. The Panthers have been out of the playoff picture for a while and, while Green Bay is still within reach mathematically, the game might not attract that many bodies.
Still, we’ll have to wait and see.
