Christian McCaffrey is a new man this week.
The running back went to sleep in last place in the NFC South and woke up in 1st place in the NFC West after the Carolina Panthers traded him to the San Francisco 49ers. In return, the Panthers received a second, third, and fourth-round pick in 2023 and a fifth-round pick in 2024, according to multiple reports.
After the trade, McCaffrey’s girlfriend, Olivia Culpo, took to Instagram to react to the trade news.
“So many emotions right now,” she said while showing a video of her watching ESPN’s Adam Schefter break down the news.
Mccaffrey is still a good running back, but injuries plagued him the past two seasons. He played in just 10 games total in 2020 and 2021.

During this current year, he has played in all six games, rushing for 393 yards on 85 carries, two of them scores. He has also caught 33 passes for 277 yards and a touchdown.
The Panthers fired head coach Matt Rhule last week and traded receiver Robbie Anderson earlier this week. The fire sale has begun and the franchise is embracing the rebuild.
McCaffrey could suit up this Sunday for the 49ers against the Kansas City Chiefs.
