Could Christian McCaffrey be on the move?
On Monday, reports started to emerge that the Carolina Panthers may be fielding calls for veterans on their roster in the wake of head coach Matt Rhule being fired. One name that came up was running back Christian McCaffrey.
Per Fetes, “the Bills have reached out to the Panthers about running back Christian McCaffrey.”
However, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported later that no such trade talks have taken place.
Soon, the Bills would reach out and further shut down those rumors.

“The Bills responded to our report and say they have NOT reached out to the Panthers about Christian McCaffrey.”
The 26-year-old McCaffrey remains one of the most dynamic offensive playmakers in football, but only when healthy. So far this season, he has rushed for 324 yards and two touchdowns while adding 26 catches for 188 yards and another score.
The Panthers, however, are only 1-4 on the year.
At his current pace, McCaffrey will put up 1,740 yards from scrimmage and 10 total touchdowns.
Right now in Buffalo, the team has a trio of Devin Singletary, Zack Moss and James Cook that have combined for 351 rushing yard and one score, to go along with 29 catches for 209 yards and a score.
A healthy McCaffery would be a major upgrade as the Bills have a much better offensive line than what he is dealing with in Carolina.
