New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave broke his silence on X (formerly known as Twitter) a day after his arrest for reckless driving.
On Tuesday evening, the Ohio State product posted a short three-word message that simply read, “Damn crazy world.”
As previously noted, Olave was arrested on Monday night after driving 70 MPH in a zone with a 35 MPH speed limit. The second-year wideout fully cooperated with authorities and was booked in Kenner City Jail in Kenner, Louisiana.
The 23-year-old Olave has been New Orleans’ best pass-catcher here in 2023, recording 39 catches for 471 yards and a touchdown. Olave has been one of the few positives on a New Orleans team that has disappointed thus far with a 3-4 record.
Olave was one of the most productive rookies a year ago, recording 72 receptions for 1,042 yards and four touchdowns. New York Jets star Garrett Wilson (1,103 yards) was the only rookie to record more receiving yards than Olave a year ago.

Following a promising 2-0 start, the Saints have proceeded to drop three of their last four. Their wins came against the 2-4 Tennessee Titans, 0-6 Carolina Panthers and 2-5 New England Patriots, so it’s quite obvious that this team has a long way to go if they’re to be taken seriously as a threat in the NFC.
The Saints will visit the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday in a Super Bowl 44 rematch.
