Chris Jones reportedly lost over $1 million for not playing against the Detroit Lions last night, but he didn’t allow his holdout to prevent him from watching the game in the flesh.
The Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle was in attendance while his team lost their opening fixture of the season, taking it in from a luxury suite at the Arrowhead Stadium.
Jones did not participate in training camp and is sticking to his guns as he’s understood to be after a contract worth over $30 million a year. The All-Pro DT was spotted sitting between two men thought to be his agents, and fans couldn’t help but point out how much they looked like characters from ‘The Sopranos’.

While his holdout continues, Jones’s pockets are leaking. He already lost around $1 million for sitting out this week and could lose as much as $8 mil as he’s said he’s willing to sit out until Week 8.
Aaron Donald and Nick Bosa are the only defensive players making north of the $30 million Chris is after. And it would be hard to argue he isn’t worth that as he remains the best defender on the Chiefs roster and one of the best in the league.
