Last season, the Kansas City Chiefs finally found a way to keep the defensive star in Kansas City for the long haul with news that they’ve signed him to a lucrative new extension. They reached an agreement on a 4-year extension worth $85M, with $60M total guaranteed.
He rewarded them durng today’s game by showing off some terrible effort on a play that pretty much sums up the team’s defense against the Titans.
In 2018, he established a new NFL record for most consecutive games with at least one sack (11 games), and he followed it up with another 9 total sacks the following year, despite missing a couple games.
He needs to return to that beast of a player if the Chiefs’ defense wants to give their team a chance in 2021. So far, they just haven’t been good enough, and their effort against the Titans was another example of that.
