The Buccaneers aren’t the team they’ve been in recent years when they had Tom Brady to lean on and it is showing.
Mariah DelPercio is the wife of Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin and she is not a happy spouse. The Pennsylvania State University alum recently took to her Instagram story and questioned the accuracy of a quote attributed to Tampa Bay head coach Todd Bowles.
Bowles told reporters that Godwin’s production was down this past Sunday because his snap count was reduced as a result of lingering injuries.
He posted the ‘receipt’ just below the quote in a way to call him out for lying.
DelPercio is pushing back against this notion with a screengrab of Godwin’s snap count on a week-by-week basis. Godwin played 52 snaps in Tampa Bay’s win over Carolina on Sunday which falls in line with his season average.
Godwin has proven to be a tremendous talent for the Bucs during his seven-year stint but things have certainly slowed down for him in 2023.

His production in the 2023 campaign has been a bit underwhelming as he currently has 53 receptions for 606 yards and just one touchdown. He’s pacing toward season-ending totals of 75 catches and 859 yards.
The 27-year-old wide receiver has amassed 499 career receptions, 6,272 yards, and 33 touchdowns in his career.
