According to an affidavit from the Davidson County, Tenn., clerk of criminal courts, Nashville police were called to the residence of the complainant, who said she was Claybrooks’ ex-girlfriend. She said she was in an argument with Claybrooks in the parking of the theater at around 8 p.m. on Saturday after Claybrooks arrived at the theater with another woman.
The victim told police she informed Claybrooks’ girlfriend that she had been with him the night before and had proof on her phone. She alleges that Claybrooks then grabbed her hand, ripped the phone away, and threw it to the ground, destroying it.
Claybrooks began his college career as a wide receiver for the Memphis Tigers in 2016, but he eventually switched to playing cornerback in his sophomore year. He quickly made a name for himself as a shutdown corner and return specialist, earning All-AAC honors in both 2018 and 2019.
Because of his play in college, he would be selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and he made an immediate impact on special teams in his rookie season. He played in 11 games and recorded eight tackles, one pass breakup, and 339 yards on kickoff returns.

Overall, Claybrooks is known for his speed and agility, which make him a dangerous return specialist.
However, this news about his off-the-field behavior could put a full stop to his career depending on what the Jaguars might do from here.
Claybrooks appeared in all 18 games for the Jaguars last season, primarily in a special teams role.
