For the second straight season, the Kansas City Chiefs are in embroiled in controversy with a player on the team and an alleged assault.
Kansas City Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill is now under investigation for an alleged battery, according to Steve Vockrodt and Brooke Pryor of the Kansas City Star.
The team confirmed on Friday:
“We’re in the process of gathering information and have been in contact with the league and local authorities,” the Chiefs said in a statement. “We’ll have no further comment at this time.”
The Overland Park Police Department report listed a juvenile as the victim and it turns out the battery involves Hill and his fiancee’s three-year-old son, with the child suffering a broken arm.
Hill’s fiancee has reportedly been in contact with the police.
The 25-year-old was the Chiefs’ leading wide receiver in 2018, and he’s been in talks to receive a lucrative contract extension this offseason.
