Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce took a few moments to remind “the haters” how wrong they were about his team this season.
Kelce and the Chiefs outlasted the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in Super Bowl 57, claiming their second Lombardi Trophy in four years. Unlike previous years in the Patrick Mahomes era, however, the Chiefs had more doubters and naysayers.
During the Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade on Wednesday, Kelce reminded that fans about the haters who said the Chiefs a) would miss the postseason and b) “were done”.
Dov Kleiman reminded the football world about a bold prediction that Bart Scott struck out on before the season started. The former Baltimore Ravens’ and New York Jets’ star linebacker stated that the Chiefs wouldn’t make the playoffs this past season.

Many cited the departure of Tyreek Hill (traded to the Miami Dolphins) as a reason why the Chiefs would regress in 2022. Their three AFC West rivals also made significant moves in the offseason to improve their rosters, but none of them got close to unseating KC as the division champions.
Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid and company simply reminded the football world that as long as they’re together, Kansas City will always have a chance.
