Chris Jones has hinted he could be leaving the Kansas City Chiefs in the offseason.
The Chiefs are set to host the Miami Dolphins at their Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday night in a game expected to be one of the coldest in NFL history given the latest weather predictions.
KC’s taking the longer route to the Super Bowl this year – at least they hope that will be the case. But they’re going up against a Fins side fostering championship aspirations of their own, having already beaten them in the regular season.
As for Jones, the defensive lineman will be a free agent at the end of the season and is unsure what the future holds.
“It could be my last game at Arrowhead,” he said on Tuesday, per ProFootballTalk. “Who knows?”
Jones is one of the best players in his position in the NFL and wants to be paid like it. He started the 2023 season on the fringes, holding out for a better deal. The Chiefs eventually agreed to sign him to a one-year contract worth around $19.5 million.

He’s looking to be paid in the Aaron Donald and Quinnen Williams range, somewhere between $25-$30 Million per season, and is unlikely to accept less from the Chiefs based on how long he remained out last year.
