Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes “liked” a tweet about how the Denver Broncos broke the reigning MVP and his team.
Mahomes and the Chiefs are in the midst of a slump, having lost two in a row and four of their last six since a 6-1 start. Their cold run started with a stunning 24-9 road loss to the Broncos in Week 8, Mahomes’ first loss against his AFC West rivals.
Sean Keeler of The Denver Post wrote an article published on Tuesday with a title that reads, “Broncos DC Vance Joseph didn’t just beat Patrick Mahomes. He didn’t just beat the Chiefs. He broke them.”
As noted by Robert Zeglinski of USA Today ‘s For The Win site, Mahomes “liked” this post on his X/Twitter page. Though it no longer appears under Mahomes’ “likes”, user @AlexGold shared a screenshot of the evidence:
The Chiefs are playing uncharacteristically sloppy football right now, but it’s definitely a little premature to say the reigning Super Bowl champions are broken. At 8-5, they still control their own destiny for the AFC West crown.
Kansas City has hosted each of the last five AFC Championship Games at Arrowhead. They’ve played in three of the last four Super Bowls, winning it all in the 2019 and 2022 seasons.

The 28-year-old Mahomes and his Chiefs may not look like the team to beat in the AFC right now, but count them out at your own risk. No current NFL club has conquered adversity over the last five years more than these guys.
