The Kansas City Chiefs may have survived Monday Night Football and defeating the New York Giants, but in year’s past, they would’ve easily defeated a team of that caliber by 20+…..in the first half.
Patrick Mahomes was at the forefront of the Chief’s problems on Monday night. He was 29 of 48 for 275 yards with one touchdown and one interception. It was the seventh consecutive game he’s thrown at least one interception, which is the longest of his career.
“I think we’re the same as we’ve always been,” Mahomes told reporters. “We’ve caught some defenses that are playing over the top of us and we turn the ball over. We’re still moving the ball and doing a lot of things great, but whenever you turn the ball over or get a penalty and get pushed back, that kinda ruins drives. But I think we’ve done a lot of great things, but it comes down to execution in this league.”
Because of his troubles on the field, ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky thinks Mahomes is the worst QB in the NFL right now, mechanically.
In a series of tweets, he explains different plays from their last game and gave some interesting takes on the young phenom.

When someone commented on Orlovsky’s analysis, he responded:
The Chiefs had two turnovers against the Giants, which gave them 19 for the year and three more than they had all 2020. The Chiefs just had 10 offensive drives and no scores in the second half aside from the game-winning field goal in the final minutes of the fourth quarter.
The offense and the defense has taken several steps back.
“I think we’re gonna snap out of it and find a way to start executing and when we do, we’ll be a tough offense to stop,” Mahomes said.
