Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes was maybe a little too nice during the team’s Super Bowl parade on Wednesday.
As you can see in the video clip below, courtesy of TikTok user @baseballtalk247, Mahomes literally handed the Lombardi Trophy over to a fan after taking a selfie with them. Mahomes then started to walk away, apparently not realizing what he had done.
Uh, Patrick?! That’s YOUR team’s Super Bowl trophy! You all earned it. Don’t just give it away like it’s free money!
That wasn’t the only “whoops” moment with Mahomes at Wednesday’s Super Bowl parade. The Super Bowl MVP also nearly fell off the top of a bus, but he thankfully stayed up and avoided a potentially serious injury.
The 27-year-old Mahomes won Super Bowl 57 MVP honors after completing 21 of 27 pass attempts for 182 yards, three touchdowns, zero interceptions to go along with 44 rushing yards on six carries.

Mahomes also became the first player to win both regular season MVP honors and the Super Bowl in 23 years. Hall of Famer Kurt Warner of the St. Louis Rams was the last player to achieve that feat.
Next season, the Chiefs will try to become the first team to win back-to-back Super Bowls since the 2003 and ’04 New England Patriots.
