Nick Bolton is a very happy man right now. The Kansas City Chiefs linebacker played a key role in Sunday’s Super Bowl 57 win against the Philadelphia Eagles, scoring a crucial touchdown when things were mostly going Philly’s way.
The Chiefs are still celebrating their win and held a parade in Missouri on Wednesday. It was a pretty festive event, as you would expect. And Bolton had his time on the mic, taking full advantage of the opportunity to address the supporters.
At one point, he made a wild sound you’d typically hear after visiting a certain online portal bearing a famous black, yellow and white logo.
While Patrick Mahomes unsurprisingly won Super Bowl MVP, a case could have been made for Bolton. The linebacker was all over the place for the Chiefs defensively, making a game-high nine tackles and possibly the most important play of the game when he scored a touchdown on a 36-yard fumble return.
The TD came when the Eagles were leading 14-7 and has just crossed midfield on a third-and-one. A false start brought them back to third-and-six before Jalen Hurts dropped the football after being blitzed by Bolton, who snatched it up and raced into the end zone.
