Gracie Hunt, the daughter of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, has made her feelings on Harison Butker clear following the kicker’s explosive speech at Benedictine College.
Butker has faced rife backlash for comments made in front of graduating students during a commencement ceremony at the college, where he encouraged women to lean into their vocations as wives, mothers, and homemakers.
“I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolic lies told to you,” he said in a now-viral video posted by the school’s YouTube account.
“Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world. I can tell you that my beautiful wife Isabelle would be the first to say her life truly started when she started living her vocation as a wife and as a mother.”

Gracie Hunt Defends Harrison Butker
The footage has garnered over 1 million views since being posted, and it’s been the cause of much discourse, with many people taking issue.
Gracie Hunt is not one of those people, however. Speaking to Fox News Digital, she drew on her own experience growing up with a mom who was always at home.

“Well, I can only speak from my own experience, which is I’ve had the most incredible mom who had the ability to stay home and be with us as kids growing up. And I understand that there are many women out there who can’t make that decision,” she said. “But for me and my life, I know it was really formative and in shaping me and my siblings into who we are.”
Asked whether she understood where his message was coming from, Gracie added, “For sure, and I really respect Harrison and his Christian faith and what he’s accomplished on and off the field.”
The NFL has distanced itself from Butker’s speech, insisting the league doesn’t share his views. The Chiefs have yet to address the comments.
