The Kansas City Chiefs’ visit to the White House was pretty eventful.
Travis Kelce was yanked off before giving what could have gone down as a legendary speech while Andy Reid mistakenly referred to President Joe Biden as “Obama.” And it’s since been revealed that kicker Harrison Butker trolled the POTUS during the event.
The two-time champion wore a huge smile in photos taken on the day. He is also shown to have worn a tie bearing the words “Vulnerari Praesidio,” Latin for “For the protection of the vulnerable.” Well, the exact translation would be “vulnerailium praesidio,” but it’s close enough.
This was likely in protest to Biden’s advocating that it is a woman’s right to kill an unborn child, at least that’s the way LifeNews.com sees it. But it could have been a message for the Chiefs’ offensive line ahead of what will be a title-defending 2023 campaign.
The aforementioned publication describes Butker as “arguably one of the most likable and honest men in sports.” They pointed to a speech the 27-year-old gave at the Georgia Institute of Technology back in May.
“Sadly, we are encouraged to live our lives for ourselves to move from one thing to another with no long-term commitment,” he said then. “To have loyalty for nothing but ourselves and sacrifice only when it suits our own interests. This loneliness is rooted in the lies being sold about self-dependence and prioritizing our career over important relationships.”

Butker had a big part to play in the Chiefs lifting the Lombardi Trophy this year, having kicked the game-winner in the AFC Championship against the Cincinnati Bengals.
He did the same against the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, scoring a field goal to put his team up 38-35 and win the game.
