Just when you thought a 2-game losing streak was the worst thing going for Kansas City.
Thursday was not a good night for Kansas City Chiefs fans. They had to watch in horror as Patrick Mahomes remained on the ground after converting a quarterback sneak on 4th-and-1 in the second quarter.
David Chao says Mahomes likely has a “significant” knee injury that appears to be a dislocated right patella (kneecap). That was the initial diagnosis just by watching the video.
Chao says the best the Chiefs can hope for is a return in a few weeks with a brace, but these injuries can require surgery and possibly be a season-ending issue.
Because of that, fans began taking to Twitter and urging the team to sign Colin Kaepernick so the season doesn’t go to waste.

Mahomes entered Thursday’s match-up with the Broncos completing 63.9 percent of his passes for 2,104 to go along with 14 touchdowns and one interception.
