Jordan Willis, the Chiefs fan whose three friends were found frozen to death in his backyard, has reportedly checked himself into rehab.
According to a family member, per FOX News Digital, the 38-year-old is “facing his addiction head-on” following the death of his friends, which has served as an “enormous wakeup call.”
“After the shocking loss of three of his close friends under extremely tragic circumstances, Jordan recognized that he had a problem with addiction,” the source claimed.
“He immediately checked himself into rehab after vacating his home and putting his things into storage.”
The nature of Willis’ addiction was not disclosed.
Ricky Johnson, Clayton McGeeney, and David Harrington had gotten together at Willis’ place to watch the Chiefs play the Chargers on January 7. Alex Waemer-Lee, a fifth friend, said he left them all watching ‘Jeopardy!’.

The friends were not found until January 9 after McGeeney’s fiancee broke into Willis’ property and saw one of the men frozen in the yard.
Willis was wearing underwear and holding a wine glass when police arrived. He claimed to have had no idea his friends were dead outside, insisting he had slept the entire two days.
The authorities are not treating this like a homicide investigation, though family members of the dead men are convinced something else was at play.
Toxicology reports are still pending.
