The Kansas City Chiefs fan who shined a laser at New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady during the AFC Championship last January has finally been handed down his penalty.
The overzealous fan at Arrowhead tried unsuccessfully to distract QB Tom Brady by purposely shining a laser pointer at his eyes, only to watch his team lose the game anyway. On top of being found, 64-year-old Dwyan Morgan will now have to pay a grand total of $500 for his actions on that day, according to multiple reports.
Morgan pleaded guilty to a charge of disturbing the peace and faced up to a year in prison and a fine of up to $1,000 for his actions.
The fine may have been small, but Morgan also has to deal with the fact that he has been banned forever from entering Arrowhead stadium.
The Patriots beat the Chiefs in the AFC Championship, 37-31, and went on to win Super Bowl LIII.
