Well, the NFL Kickoff Game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions certainly didn’t lack strange moments.
You had Chiefs’ punter Tommy Townsend attempting to put a second helmet on top of his first, offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor getting away with blatant false start penalties all night long and NBC’s interesting decision to broadcast Aidan Hutchinson’s parents mic’d up.
If that wasn’t strange enough for you, check this one out: A Kansas City supporter poked fun at well-known Chiefs’ superfan “ChiefsAholic” over his arrest for bank robbery. Pro Football Talk took note and shared the image:

ChiefsAholic’s real name is Xaviar Michael Babudar. The 29-year-old was indicted by a federal grand jury last month on 19 counts. Babudar was especially notable among Kansas City fans because of his signature wolf costume that he always wore at games.
Babudar was on the run from the law for four months after escaping from jail in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was finally captured again in California. He faces the possibility of life in prison in the state of Oklahoma for committing robbery with a firearm.
The Lions defeated the Chiefs 21-20, winning their first Week 1 game since 2017. Kansas City will try to avoid a disastrous 0-2 start when they visit the Jacksonville Jaguars next Sunday.
