The Super Bowl matchup is set after yesterday’s results from the AFC and NFC Championship games.
During the regular season, NFL players are allowed to gamble on almost anything that doesn’t involve the NFL, but that won’t be the case for the Chiefs and 49ers when they arrive in Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII.
While it will be a rematch of Super Bowl LIV, the scenery will be much different.
Both franchises will be staying away from the famed Las Vegas strip and that was done for a reason. The league does not want the players anywhere near the strip as a player being caught gambling could turn into a huge issue.
The league has also updated its gambling policy to ban all forms of gambling for Super Bowl participants.
The two teams will be staying in separate hotels that are more than 15 miles away from the strip.

Although the strict gambling rules will be in place for the two Super Bowl teams, that won’t be the case for the other players in the NFL. If any player who’s NOT playing in the game decides to make a trip to Vegas for Super Bowl week, they’re allowed to gamble all they want with two exceptions.
They cannot bet on the NFL and they’re not allowed to go into any sports books unless they are simply walking through to get to another destination.
Under a new policy that was implemented in September, any player who gets caught betting on the NFL will face at least a one-year suspension. If the player was betting on his own team, the punishment gets even worse and they will face a two-year suspension.
The Super Bowl will be kicking off at 6:30 p.m. ET on Feb. 11th at Allegiant Stadium.
