The Kansas City Chiefs are already one of the top contenders to win the Super Bowl this season. But, like many of the other contenders around the league, they’re not content to just stick with their current roster.
If there are improvements to be made, you can bet that the Chiefs will pursue them. And based on recent reports, it appears as though there are four big-name players that they are most likely to pursue.
Those four names are Carolina Panthers wide receiver D.J. Moore, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Sidney Jones, and Chicago Bears defensive end Robert Quinn and running back David Montgomery.
Moore would likely be the most expensive name on that list, as the Panthers will likely be looking for even more than they got for Christian McCaffrey if they’re going to trade away their 25-year-old star wideout.
The most interesting name on that list, however, would have to be David Montgomery. His name hasn’t come up in trade rumors yet this season and, while Moore, Jones and Quinn would all fill glaring needs for the Chiefs, running back doesn’t really appear to be a position of weakness for the team—with Clyde Edwards Helaire, Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon in the backfield already.
It’s doubtful that the Chiefs would spend any significant draft capital on a running back who’s in the final year of his contract and doesn’t even offer a significant upgrade at the position.

That being said, we have seen stranger things happen. We’ll just have to wait and see if the Chiefs decide to pull the trigger on any of these available stars.
