Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields couldn’t help but take a savage shot at the city of Green Bay ahead of his team’s visit to Lambeau Field.
Fields’ Bears will try to play spoiler when they visit the 8-8 Packers on Sunday. Green Bay, coming off a season-saving victory over the Minnesota Vikings, must defeat Chicago at home to lock down a playoff berth.
If this matchup between the two bitter rivals wasn’t exciting for you enough, then perhaps Fields’ latest words about Titletown will entice you.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Fields had reporters laughing when he said, “I know their fans are gonna be loud because there’s not much to do in Green Bay except watch football.”
Green Bay is the smallest market in North America that’s home to a professional sports franchise, with an estimated population of just over 106,000. Chicago, on the other hand, is one of the continent’s largest markets.
Fields is 0-5 in his career against the Packers, with just four passing touchdowns and seven interceptions. The rivalry has been awfully lopsided in Green Bay’s favor dating back to 2008, Aaron Rodgers’ first full season as the Packers starter.

The Bears haven’t defeated the Packers since Week 15 of the 2018 season, when they narrowly held on for a 24-17 victory at Soldier Field en route to claiming the NFC North division crown.
Chicago will miss the playoffs for a third straight year, but they can end the season on a high note by handing the Packers a second straight season-ending loss on home field in Week 18, just as the Detroit Lions did a year ago.
