Last season, the Chicago Bears were terrible enough to get the number one pick in the NFL Draft, even though they would ultimately trade it to the Carolina Panthers since they are not in need of a quarterback.
After initiating a rebuilding process last year, more is expected of the Bears this season and at least one person thinks their record should be so much better.
After finishing the 3-14 last year, the only way they can go is up if all their pieces remain healthy and perform the way they should while on the field.
Fox Sports radio host Jason McIntyre filled in for Colin Cowherd this week, and he thinks the Bears should be good enough to finish with a record above .500.
“The arrow is pointed up for the Bears,” McIntyre said. “I don’t think 9-8 is that much of a reach.”
Chicago kicks off the season against the Packers and Buccaneers, with both teams losing hall-of-fame quarterbacks during the offseason.

Quarterback Justin Fields will be central to any improvement in Chicago and he started things off right when the signal-caller did not appear on the popular new Netflix series “Quarterback,” even amid a request from the streaming service.
Fields has already ruled himself out of season two, as he does not want to be a distraction to his Bears teammates.
Fields tossed 17 touchdowns in 2022, and Chicago is hoping the addition of receiver D.J. Moore will help Fields develop as a passer. The 24-year-old accrued only 2,242 yards through the air last season but was the NFL’s top rushing quarterback.
