NFL rookie dinners are a tradition like no other, and the Chicago Bears finally got around to doing it.
If you’re unaware, it involves veterans on the team treating the rookies to a lavish meal and then sticking them with the huge bill at the end that they must pay.
This week, Bears rookie defensive lineman Austin Booker was the unfortunate victim of this during a recent dinner.
By the time the dinner was over, his Chicago Bears teammates handed him a $26,435.09 bill.

What we do not know is if he had to pay that by himself or if other rookie players were there to split that bill.
According to Spotrac, Booker signed a four-year rookie contract with the Chicago Bears in 2024, valued at $4,369,140.

Chicago Bears Started The Season 4-2 Before The Wheels Fell Off
Once again, the Chicago Bears are having a pretty disappointing season. The Bears are entering the last week of the season with a 4-12 record.
It’s hard to believe that the team once rolled with a 4-2 record and then proceeded to lose ten games in a row that is still ongoing.
The team has just one more game to stop this losing streak before the season comes to an end.
The Chicago Bears have only had one season above .500 since 2013. The franchise only has two playoff appearances since 2011, with the last one being in 2020.
