It wouldn’t be a stretch to suggest that the level of frustration among Chicago Bears fans is at an all-time high. Many of them probably weren’t even born the last time the team won a Super Bowl — 35 years ago, in 1985.
Throw in the fact that the Bears haven’t won a playoff game since 2010, and they haven’t had a competent quarterback since who knows when, and you can begin to understand where all that frustration is coming from.
One fan apparently had seen enough, so he decided to reach out to Chicago Bears owner George McCaskey, asking him to sell the team “for the greater good of the city.”
He probably didn’t expect to receive a response, but surprisingly, George actually got back to him with the following message:
“Dear Mr. Economou, Thank you for your recent letter. We’re going to stick with it. Sincerely, George McCaskey.”
Well played, George.
