Do you want to know why Justin Fields cannot seem to get any better in his career? Look no further than the men who are paid to protect him.
Bears quarterback Justin Fields exited Week 6’s game against the Vikings with a hand injury and was later ruled out by the team. It’s not hard to see why he got injured.
The below video shows one of his offensive linemen not only not blocking a single person from the Vikings defensive line, but the first person he actually touched to block was his own teammate.
As you see, one Vikings player came running into the pocket which flushed Fileds out to his left.
While scrambling to his left during the third quarter, Fields was sacked from behind by outside linebacker Danielle Hunter and appeared to land on his right hand. He was seen holding his hand afterward while gingerly walking back to the locker room with trainers.
After leading Chicago to a 40-20 win in its first victory of the season in Week 5, Fields struggled against the Vikings prior to his injury. His day ended with 58 passing yards and one interception after completing 6-of-10 pass attempts.

It’s unclear if Fields will miss any time, but the team’s next matchup is set for Oct. 22 against the Raiders.
