Dick Butkus learned how to work Twitter right away.
Hall of Fame Chicago Bears linebacker Dick Butkus made a name for himself as a fierce and intimidating linebacker during his time in the league that spanned nine seasons. Meanwhile Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been one of the best passers of the modern era as he tries to will his team to the Super Bowl for the second time in his career.
Butkus, who was just verified on Twitter, gave everybody a taste of what he would’ve done to Rodgers on the field with his very first post.
At 6’3 and 245 pounds, Butkus would still be a big linebacker today. He had a reputation for doing whatever it took to intimidate his opponents, so if Twitter was available back then, he most certainly would’ve used it to taunt opposing players.
That Bears-Packers rivalry runs deep. That was proven when Rodgers famously told the Bears he owns them during the regular season.

Rodgers has more pressing concerns than dealing with Butkus on social media. He owns an 0-3 playoff record against the San Francisco 49ers, though he’s beaten them in the regular season each of the last two years. The top-seeded Packers and 49ers face off again Saturday night in an NFC Divisional playoff game at Lambeau Field.
